ABOUT ME

Hi! I’m Cortney! I am the macramé enthusiast behind Curious Creations Macrame. As a gem city transplant, I moved to Dayton over a decade ago and have decided to make this vibrant city my home. Originally from a small town up north, I once thought Dayton was a big city, but I’ve come to realize that this ‘big city’ has a charming small-town feel—and I absolutely love it.

I discovered macramé about five years ago when my cats were munching on my plants, and I needed to find a solution. As you might know, some plants can be expensive and toxic to cats; it turned out my cat was just having too much fun with my spider plant.

I quickly fell in love with the fiber art of macramé. After gifting my creations to friends and receiving their encouragement to start selling them, I launched Curious Creations Macrame. Today, I craft all types of fiber art, from large-scale wall hangings to earrings and everything in between. A lot of my work features a disco, daisy, and moon vibe. As textile enthusiasts who love shiny things, I naturally incorporate my favorite elements into our creations.
